So you’ve decided to say “I do” in Sicily. Great choice! 😍 Crystal-clear sea, golden light, ancient villages and food you’ll be dreaming about for years. But planning a wedding from another country comes with a whole new set of questions. Who do you trust when you can’t just pop round to visit a studio? How do you know the photographer will “get” you? And how does it all work when you live thousands of miles away?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are honest answers to the questions couples from abroad ask us most often.

Should we bring a photographer from home or hire a local one?

It’s a fair question, and it’s completely normal to feel safer with someone from your own country. But hiring a local photographer has some real advantages:

🔹 We know the light – Sicilian sunlight is beautiful, but in summer it can be harsh. We know exactly what time the sun sets behind Tindari, when the beach is at its best, and where to find shade at midday.

🔹 No travel costs – No flights, hotels or extra days to pay for a photographer flying in from abroad. That budget can go into your album or an after-wedding shoot instead.

How do we choose the right photographer from abroad?

The same way you would at home, just with a few more video calls! 😊

  • Look beyond the highlights. Anyone can post ten great shots on Instagram. Browse their real wedding stories and ask how they cover the whole day, from getting ready to the last dance.

  • Read the reviews. What other couples say tells you more than any sales pitch. Look for comments about how they felt during the day, not just how the photos look.

  • Book a video call. You’ll be spending the most important day of your life with this person. Within ten minutes you’ll know whether you feel at ease with them.

  • Ask clear questions. What’s included, how long delivery takes, what extras cost. A good photographer answers simply and openly.

What style of photography should we choose?

It really depends on you. Some couples want natural, documentary-style photos full of real emotion, others prefer classic, elegant portraits, and many want a mix of both. Do you speak English?

Yes, we do! 😊 We speak English, so you can ask us anything, share your ideas and plan every detail without worrying about getting lost in translation. On the day itself, we’ll guide you naturally and stress-free, in a language you’re comfortable with.

Do you offer video and drone footage too?

Yes! Alongside photography, our team also offers video and drone services, so you can relive your day in motion and see your Sicilian setting from above: the coastline, the sea, the hills. One team for everything also means fewer people to coordinate and a more consistent story from start to finish.

What’s an after-wedding shoot, and why is it perfect for destination weddings?

It’s a relaxed photo session a day or two after the wedding, with no schedule, no guests and no pressure. Just the two of you, the sea and our team. 🌊

We were among the very first to offer after-wedding beach shoots in Sicily, almost 20 years ago, and it’s still one of our couples’ favorite experiences. If you’re travelling all the way here, it’s the perfect way to make the most of the trip: you get to enjoy the island, and your album gets a whole new chapter, freer and more playful than the wedding day itself. And the dress? Every couple who’s done it will tell you the same thing: totally worth it! 😉

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can, especially if you’re planning a wedding between May and September. Summer weekends in Sicily fill up quickly. Once you’ve set the date and the venue, your photographer should be next on the list.

How will we get our photos if we live abroad?

Easy! Your digital files will be sent to you via a download link, by email or WhatsApp, so you can have them wherever you are in the world. 📲

Ordered an album or prints? No problem at all: we ship abroad, so they’ll arrive right at your door. 📦✈️

As for timing, we agree on it together with you. It depends on the type of package you choose, but generally it takes anywhere from one to seven months. We’ll set a clear timeline from the start, so you always know what to expect.

And you won’t be left in the dark: you’ll get to preview your photos and choose together which ones go into your album, so there are no unpleasant surprises.


Will we be able to meet you before the wedding?

Of course! If you’re coming to Sicily before the big day, our studio in Patti is always open to you. If not, a video call works perfectly. We’ll talk about your plans, your timeline, the places you love and anything that’s worrying you. Many couples tell us that after the first call they already felt like they knew us. ❤️
